Stewardship

For Responsible Institutional Investors
Empowering Responsible Institutional Investors
to create value through effective stewardship of their investments.

The financial sector plays a crucial role in the essential transition to a more sustainable world, with effective stewardship serving as a key sustainable investing approach used to accelerate that change.

Stewardship is one of five recognised approaches to responsible investment — alongside screening, ESG integration, thematic investing, and impact investing — a framework formalised jointly by CFA Institute, the PRI, and the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance (GSIA) to standardise terminology across the industry.

What sets stewardship apart from the other four is timing and direction: screening, thematic investing, and impact investing shape which assets you select, and

ESG integration shapes how you analyse them — but stewardship is what you do with what you already hold, using investor rights and influence to protect and enhance long-term value rather than staying passive.

Beyond the companies themselves, that same influence extends to advocating for stronger sustainable policies and industry standards — ultimately benefiting the well-being of people and the planet, economically, environmentally, and socially, with you, the responsible institutional investor, playing a central role throughout.

Contact me today to discover how you can implement or enhance your stewardship practices and become an effective steward of your investments.

What is stewardship?

"Stewardship is the use of investor rights and influence to protect and enhance overall long-term value for clients and beneficiaries, including the common economic, social and environmental assets on which their interests depend."
